I bought this a few months ago and haven't stopped using it. My wife is a heat junky and we used to fight over the thermostat - not anymore. We spend most of our time sitting in either the family or bedroom. When this is near, it is very unlikely that she will crank up the heat. Our home is fairly large and we could use another one. This is our first radiant heater and I would definitely buy another one of these. I gave it fours stars because it's hard to see the dial indicator on the front. But that's nothing a little finger nail polish can't fix. -- Favorite Heater

We bought 3 of these infrared heaters. We saw a great difference in our heating bills. I think it helped my son's room the most as it did not dry the air out in his room which helped his allergies. -- Infrared Heater
This heater for under my desk is smaller, quieter and more energy efficient than my old one. I like it very much. It is so quiet, if it weren't for the heat, I would forget it is on. -- Great little heater
I got the Optimus Infrared Quarz Radiant Heater a few weeks ago and am happy, It gets the job done as advertised: it heats quickly and quietly my bedroom.
The only drawback is that the material quality of the heater is pretty poor. You can tell that it won't last much-- it seems pretty fragile, made of low-quality plastic and having the grid and bulbs quite exposed without much protection.
Also, the functions are quite basic: 400 or 800W (one or two bulbs) without having an actual temperature control. I might have preferred something a bit more expensive but with more control and possibly a timer for auto shut-off.
Anyway, it is a good deal for around $25. -- Not very sturdy
