Living in a house from the 60's that also has old jealousy windows (which we cover with plastic) the winters can be a pain. This heater may not "blast heat" a room up right away but it does take the edge off and make things more tolerable. As for the noise it's not an issue for me, but don't think it's really that noisy. -- Good for those with no central heat and air

Currently lived in SE Pennsylvania. Natural gas prices has rose so high, it's like paying for mortgage plus more to keep your home warm. Been using these units for 5 years. Always keep home warm. Never have to turn on the main heating system to our house. Granted there may be 1 or 2 units that are not functioning like it should, but I was never dissapointed with it's performance.
